Music Program
Music is a very important part of our weekly worship! Our 22-member choir, led by Director of Music Mary Hamlin-Spencer, provides a joyful and uplifting experience for participants in our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service. An integral part of our music program is our beautiful mechanical-action organ built by Richard Howell. Music ensembles are available for all ages. We offer a broad spectrum of music in the Anglican tradition, from plainchant and Palestrina to spirituals and Taizé.
The Epiphany Choir sings weekly from September to June with rehearsals on Thursday evenings. Each section of the choir (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass) is led by a professional singer. Volunteer singers are welcome.
The Handbell Choir performs on special occasions throughout the year and includes volunteers with an interest in making a joyful noise to the Lord. An ability to read music is not required – all that is necessary are an open mind and a willingness to learn.
The Treble Choir is open to children and youth in the eight to thirteen year old range. This is an ideal way for youth to learn about singing, reading music, and church traditions.
Beginning in February 2011, we will offer younger children the opportunity to participate in the newly-formed Cherub Choir on Tuesday afternoons.
